Crete for Life is a not-for-profit charity independent of any religious or political affiliation that does not discriminate based on race, gender, ethnicity, age, religion or politics.
At Crete for Life, we:

OUR HISTORY AND EVOLUTION

Our journey began in Ierapetra, South East Crete, welcoming groups of disadvantaged children from post-Chernobyl Belarus for healthy, restorative and fun-filled sumer camps.
Over the years, we have continually responded to new challenges, extending our support to refugees, migrants, hospital patients, and local families struggling during the economic crisis. This help has included food, educational materials, medical support, and emotional care.
In 2017, we launched the successful Tomato Express anti-waste project. By transporting and distributing perfectly good, non-standard produce that would otherwise be discarded by local farmers, we ensure families in need have access to fresh, healthy food.
From 2021, since the end of the civil war in Syria, we have grown our programs to help individuals and communities in Aleppo that have suffered the brunt of over a decade of violence and poverty.
OUR DONORS AND FUTURE FOCUS
We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our donors and foundations from around the world. Their consistent support and trust have allowed us to evolve and expand our reach for two decades.
Today, Crete for Life is channeling this experience into three main strands:
- Emergency: To provide immediate relief and essential support that protects children and their families during times of acute crisis.
- Education: To equip children with the knowledge and skills necessary to overcome their challenges and build self-sufficient futures.
· Sustainability: To ensure our projects create lasting, long-term impact and promote responsible resource management for the benefit of all.
