VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the core of Crete for Life: everybody involved in charity does so on a voluntary basis by generously giving their time freely and without financial compensation.

Volunteers

Diversity of volunteers

Over the years, our volunteers have come from around the world such as Australia, Canada, France, Holland, Italy, Spain, Palestine, The United Kingdom, Syria, Iraq and Greece.  The diversity of volunteers has been critical to the success of our annual summer camps.  Young volunteers from different countries and cultures ensure the summer camp reflects diversity and fosters appreciation and respect for individual and cultural differences.

The energy and dedication of our young volunteers helps create a positive, fun-filled environment and in doing so, they become positive role models for the children we support. In addition, Crete for Life’s local projects are managed by dedicated local Cretan teachers, mothers and professionals, who donate their time and energy.
