One Child, One Coat: Give Warmth to Aleppo’s Children

Baydeen, one of Aleppo’s poorest and most marginalized neighborhoods, has long struggled with neglect—even before the war. The conflict only deepened the suffering of its residents, who come from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds but continue to live together in peace. In this fragile yet resilient community, the “One Coat One Child” campaign brought a rare moment of warmth and joy.

🧥 Ahmad, a bright-eyed boy with a shy smile, shared his excitement:

This is the first time in my life I wear a new coat, not a used one.

🧥 Batoul, a quiet girl whose parents were killed during the war, now lives with her aunt who already cares for four children:

It’s soft and warm. I feel like someone remembered me.

🧥 Youssef, 10 years old, often helps his mother carry water from distant tanks:

I feel like a superhero in this coat. It’s strong and warm—just like I want to be.

🧥 Lina, 8 years old, dreams of becoming a teacher:

I will wear it every day to school. It makes me feel smart and special.

🧥 Samir, who lost his home in a bombing and now lives in a temporary shelter:

When I wear this coat, I feel safe. Like the cold can’t hurt me anymore.

The “One Coat One Child” campaign did more than distribute winter clothing, it restored dignity, sparked smiles, and reminded children that they matter. But many more children in Baydeen and beyond still face the cold without protection.

Your donation can be the difference between shivering and smiling.

Help us bring warmth to another child. One coat. One child. One act of hope.
